Our South Africa discovery journey begins in Cape Town where we spend two nights. Right after the breakfast we embark on a spectacular day tour around the Cape Peninsula taking in all the highlights such as the visit of African Penguin colony. We travel through charming fishing villages and awesome viewpoints on our way to Cape Point, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. The following day we depart Cape Town and head towards the Stellenbosch region where we enjoy a wine and cheese tasting at one of the local wine farms.

As we leave Stellenbosch, we will have the opportunity to visit one of the local ostrich farms. The following day we take a guided tour of the Cango Caves, which have some of the most impressive limestone caverns and the different formations. After the tour, we cross over the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains to Knysna where we will spend some time exploring the town, before we build our camps at the seaside village of Plettenberg Bay.
Tsitsikamma National Park is one of South Africa’s best kept secrets with exceptional hiking trails, superb coastal sceneries and Bloukrans Bridge with the world’s highest bungee jump at 216m. We will spend a few hours hiking around the famous Otter Trail and next day there will be plenty of time to participate in many optional activities, such as Treetop Canopy Tours.
Continuing to the Eastern Cape we enter the Addo Elephant National Park, which is the third largest national park in South Africa. We spend next two days driving through the park and searching for the elephants, lions, buffalos, black rhinos, hyenas, leopards and a many other animals. After our final day of safari in Addo National Park we say farewell to the elephants and drive further to South Africa’s fourth oldest town, Graaff-Reinet, where we spend the day enjoying a historical walking tour around the town.
As we depart South Africa we can admire the beautiful nature while driving to the mountain kingdom of Lesotho. Lesotho is one of the highest countries in the world with the entire country being over 1000m above sea level. We will have the opportunity to go on the optional Pony Trekking Excursion into the remote hills of Lesotho accompanied by local guides, following the visit of one of the local villages.
We say farewell to Lesotho and drive to South Africa’s highest and most beautiful Drakensberg Mountains, where we spend next two days exploring the mountain paths and enjoying the breathtaking views offered in Royal Natal National Park.
We depart Durban and head towards iSimangaliso Wetland Park, which is famous for its lakes, beaches, coral reefs and coastal forests. During our Zulu cultural evening we try local beer and we learn about the family traditions. The following day we drive to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve for a game drive in open 4×4 vehicles and hippo viewing from a boat during sunset cruise on the lagoon will be another nice experience.
Our biggest safari experience is ahead of us, as we make our journey towards the famous Kruger National Park, where we spend next three nights absorbing the beauty of wilderness. We shall spend the following days travelling throughout the Kruger National Park searching of the lions, leopards and other animals.
On our last day in Kruger we make our way towards the Panorama Route, which is one of South Africa’s most scenic journeys. The Panorama Route consists of Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Blyde River Canyon including God’s Window and Three Rondavels. Our tour is coming to an end, on the final day we head back to Belvedere Estate where we can spend the last evening in South Africa enjoying a traditional “braai”, before we catch our flight back home the following day.
