A day after our arrival to South Africa we leave our hotel in Belvedere Estate and travel towards the famous Kruger National Park, where we spend next three nights absorbing the beauty of wilderness. We shall spend the following days travelling throughout the Kruger National Park searching of the lions, leopards and other wildlife.
On our last day in Kruger, we make our way towards the Panorama Route, which is one of South Africa’s most scenic journeys. The Panorama Route consists of Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Blyde River Canyon including God’s Window and Three Rondavels.
We enjoy our final safari on the way out of Kruger and head towards Swaziland where we spend next 2 nights in Hlane, which is Swaziland’s largest protected area. Originally the private hunting area of the Swazi Royal family, is currently managed by Big Game Parks. We will have the opportunity to experience the way of life, culture and traditions of the Swazi nation. For the rest of our stay in Hlane, we can hike inside the park as the lions are housed in a fenced enclosure.
We leave Swaziland and head towards Maputo, which is the capital of Mozambique. We go for a short drive through this vibrant city and enjoy our evening meal out together. The following day we depart Maputo very early and head north through coconut plantations to the old Portuguese settlement of Inhambane, where we spend the next three nights in our hotel right at the beach. We will have plenty of time to experience uncountable activities such as scuba diving or snorkeling with whale sharks, manter rays and dolphins in the Indian Ocean, or just relax on the beautiful white sandy beaches.
We leave Inhambane and drive to the town of Vilanculos. Next morning we jump on a speedboat and head towards Bazaruto Island, which is Mozambique`s premier destination. We spend the entire day discovering the beauties of the surrounding area where you shall have the opportunity to snorkel, swim and explore the island.
After our relaxing time spent in Bazaruto, we travel to the bustling town of Xai Xai, with lots of markets, shops, restaurants and bars. We stay the last night in Mozambique in this seaside village and prepare for our journey back into South Africa. Next day re-enter South Africa again where we spend the night at the town Malelane.
On the final day we head back to Belvedere Estate where we can spend the last evening in South Africa enjoying a traditional “braai”, before catching our flight back home the following day.
